Judith Cahn, EdD

Dr. Cahn brings more than 30 years of experience in education, educational psychology, and emerging learning technologies across higher education and business. She now helps organizations develop high-quality online programs and build the capacity to sustain them.

Her approach combines institutional strategy with student-centered, experiential learning. A contributor to Inside Higher Ed and eCampus News, she advocates preparing faculty and doctoral students to teach effectively, including online.

Leadership experience

• University strategy & online growth

  As interim executive director of online education at a major public university, helped colleges build and sustain online education; led a team that developed more than 35 fully online programs in two years, expanding access and generating revenue gains.

• Program & faculty development

  Directed online education and eLearning initiatives at major universities, building online programs and preparing faculty to teach effectively online.

• Student success & workforce pathways

  Chaired a university-wide online student support advisory group, with a focus on retention, student-centered and experiential learning, and pathways from education to industry.

• Governance, technology & quality

  Served on university committees for academic technology, online education policy, strategic planning, and LMS evaluation. Advises on quality assurance, intellectual property, copyright, and online education compliance.

• Graduate teaching & doctoral mentorship

  Adjunct professor at two graduate schools, teaching distance education, e-learning, and educational technology; served on numerous doctoral dissertation committees.

• Corporate training, media & technology

  Earlier work with CBS Software & CBS Interactive Learning, HBO, Time, Inc., and other organizations included training and development, interactive learning production, and management consulting.
